Winter flower

Winter flower

You are ubiquitous

Overwhelming me

Where me eyes land there you are

Fairer flowers than you

Find them you cannot

Beneath the sun

Or in constant dark

You shine like no other

A crown jewel of the season

What was dead found new life instead

Fair winter flower

In countries whose light is but stars

You are welcome into our hearts

A gift a treat

Proof that the simplest of things carry beauty

We need to humble ourselves

For the art of nature herself
